History
Independent Australian Laboratories
was founded on October 1 st 1997 to provide an
independent commercial analytical and sampling
facility primarily to the coal industry in Central
Queensland.
Since then they have expanded
their services to provide sampling and analytical
services to the cement, oil shale and caustic soda
industries. A laboratory has been established at
Macalister near Dalby to service the Surat Basin.
IAL is willing to undertake projects
outside their normal parameters to assist clients
where needed. Currently they screen over 700,000
tonnes of coal at the Central Queensland Port Authority
for a major Central Queensland Mine. The client
sells a size enhanced product to the export market.
On March 1 st 2005 IAL were proud
to move into a new premises at 104 Hanson Road
(entrance via Beckinsale Street) in Gladstone.
Clients
IAL Clients require a wide range
of analytical and sampling services with a mix
of reporting dates. An active Quality Assurance
System ensures that every client's requirements
are met.
All Clients are Number 1.
Management
The
original management team of David Croger (Manager),
Liam Barry B.Bus (Laboratory Supervisor) and
Colin Grosse B.Sc (Sampling and Preparation
Supervisor) remained the same until May 2004
when David Croger retired. He was replaced
as General Manager by Amanda Schafer.
Staff
Independent
Australian Laboratories is committed to maintaining
a caring, happy atmosphere for its employees. Employees
have an average of seven years experience in Laboratories.
